01 — 2018
The inauguration of King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman laid the foundation for our journey. With a vision aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, SPARK set the stage for an integrated industrial ecosystem supported by dedicated logistics infrastructure.
02 — 2020
Construction of the Dry Port, Bonded Zone, and supporting infrastructure began in 2020, marking a key step in bringing our logistics hub to life and laying the groundwork for future operations.
03 — 2022
SPARK and Hutchison Ports signed the concession agreement granting Energy City Logistics Company (ECLC), operating as SPARK Logistics, responsibility for managing and operating the Dry Port and Bonded Logistics Zone at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK). This agreement marked a defining milestone in our journey to deliver integrated logistics solutions, support industrial growth, and strengthen the Eastern Province’s role as a regional logistics hub.
04 — 2024
We completed Phase 1 of our Dry Port and Bonded Zone, bringing together the core infrastructure, cargo-handling equipment, and facilities needed for the next stage of operational readiness.
05 — 2025
With our infrastructure in place, we completed the regulatory and operational preparations needed to bring the Dry Port and Bonded Zone into service. This milestone brought together essential permits, customs systems, and successful trial operations.
06 — 2026
We commenced full Phase 1 operations, bringing our Dry Port and Bonded Zone services into operation to support businesses and facilitate cargo movement across Saudi Arabia and regional markets. This milestone marked our transition from operational readiness to active service delivery.
